offering hope where there may be hardship

Christmas Adoption Program

"Not to share our wealth with the poor is to steal from them and to take away their livelihood. It is not our own goods which we hold, but theirs."
St. John Chrysostom

Our Purpose

The purpose is not only to provide material support for those families that ask to be adopted each year—such as necessities, clothing, food, and gifts—but to embody the deeper truth of the Gospel: that every person is seen, valued, and loved. Just as St. Joseph responded with trust and action to care for Mary and Jesus, participants are called to respond with compassion and humility, offering hope where there may be hardship.

Who We Support

Members of the parish, school, and surrounding community that could use a little help during the holiday season.

Volunteer Opportunities

Around October each year, we look for volunteers to adopt a family.  Volunteers are limited due to the confidentiality of this ministry as well as the tight quarters we run this ministry out of.  Any food donations to the food panty in October, November and December come to this program.  Angel tree & Undie Sunday donations are also instrumental in this ministry.  The turkey drive is also for this ministry.
