Legion of Mary

Emphasizing a Totus Tuus Marian spirituality, Pope John Paul ll lauded the Legion for its "dynamic principle of union with Mary" and service to others. He characterized their work as bringing the "solicitude of Mary" to all people."
Our Purpose:
The Legion of Mary is an international association of lay Catholics sanctioned by the Church who serve God under the banner of Mary by praying the rosary and practicing the works of mercy. The main purpose of the Legion of Mary is to give glory to God through the sanctification of its members.

Who We Support
Legion of Mary Strives to serve the parish by being an extension of the heart and hands of the pastor.

Membership Interest & Meetings
Membership in the Legion is comprised of two types: Active and Auxiliary. The Active members become instruments of the Holy Spirit through a balanced program of prayer and service. They meet once a week for prayer, planning and discussion in a family setting. Members are assigned in pairs to perform two hours of apostolic work during the week. The Auxiliary members are those members unable to participate in the meetings or perform the active service. Instead, they provide critical support through their daily prayers and the rosary.
Meetings are held every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Joseph room located in the Church basement. Catholics 18 years or older are always welcome as guests. Enter through the South door or the glass door near the elevator.
