Be Prepared

Boy Scouts & Cub Scouts

....Pope Francis concluded his message to scout leaders by stressing that educators teach primarily "with their lives, more than with words," adding that their "constant human and spiritual growth" is "fundamental" for an effective "service to the younger generations."

Our Purpose

The purpose of Scouting at St. Joseph is to build character, develop leadership skills, foster civic mindfulness, instill appreciation for nature and learn how to conserve it, and to create lifelong memories with family and friends.

Who We Support

Our program serves the youth of St. Joseph, from age 5 to 18, and is also open to anyone in the community looking for all the Scouting America program has to offer.

Volunteer Opportunities

We offer a year-round schedule, and our program is mostly led by parents and family members of our scouts.  Most of our leaders have their own scouting experience from when they were younger, and realize the benefits the program offers. There are always volunteer positions available for those who would like to help us develop the next generation
